About the Role

JuiceFS is looking for a customer-focused Solutions Architect to help organizations design, evaluate, and deploy cloud-native data infrastructure for AI, Kubernetes, analytics, and other data-intensive workloads.

You will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, from discovery and solution design through proof of concept, production deployment, and expansion. You will work closely with customers, partners, Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate business and workload requirements into reliable, scalable, and cost-effective architectures.

This role regularly collaborates with teams in both North America and China. Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.

What You Will Do

• Lead technical discovery with customer infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, data, and AI/ML teams.
• Design cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures that integrate JuiceFS with compute, networking, object storage, Kubernetes, and customer security and operations systems.
• Plan and lead technical evaluations and proofs of concept, including success criteria, test plans, workload characterization, performance analysis, and final recommendations.
• Build and deliver product demonstrations, architecture workshops, technical presentations, and enablement sessions for customers and partners.
• Guide customers through deployment, migration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production-readiness decisions.
• Create reusable reference architectures, solution briefs, deployment guides, and technical best practices.
• Partner with Sales on account strategy, technical qualification, objection handling, and communicating technical value to engineering leaders and executives.
• Bring structured customer feedback to Product and Engineering and help prioritize product gaps, integrations, and roadmap opportunities.
• Travel within North America for customer meetings, industry events, and partner activities as needed, expected up to 25%.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, cloud infrastructure consulting, platform engineering, DevOps/SRE, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, including the ability to lead technical discussions and produce clear written communication in English.
• Hands-on knowledge of at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, and working knowledge across multiple clouds.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure services, including:
  • Virtual machines and compute services
  • VPC/VNet design, routing, load balancing, DNS, firewalls, and private connectivity
  • Block, file, and object storage
  • Containers and Kubernetes, including persistent storage and CSI concepts
• Experience designing, deploying, or operating production cloud or hybrid-cloud systems.
• Ability to translate application and workload requirements into architecture choices involving performance, reliability, security, operability, and cost.
• Experience leading technical discovery, whiteboarding architectures, delivering demonstrations, and running proofs of concept.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to work with both hands-on engineers and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed, cross-functional organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed file systems, enterprise storage, cloud storage, data management, caching, backup, disaster recovery, or data migration.
• Experience with AI/ML training and inference infrastructure, GPU clusters, data pipelines, analytics, or high-performance computing.
• Familiarity with POSIX file systems, NFS, S3-compatible object storage, storage performance testing, and Linux systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes storage, CSI drivers, Helm, and container-platform operations.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-native equivalents.
• Experience working at a cloud infrastructure, storage, database, data platform, or developer-tools company.
• Experience supporting Bay Area technology customers or collaborating with cloud providers, channel partners, and infrastructure communities.

Location and Work Authorization

This is a remote position within the United States. Candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area are preferred because of customer and partner concentration, but qualified candidates elsewhere in the United States will be considered.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. JuiceFS is unable to provide employment-based immigration sponsorship for this position now.

Compensation

The On-Target Earnings range for this position is USD 130,000–180,000 per year, including base salary and target variable compensation. Actual earnings may vary based on performance, experience, skills, scope, and work location. Eligible employees may also receive equity and benefits.
